ZERUST®/EXCOR® AxxaClean™ 3048 is a rapid-acting industrial rust remover designed to eliminate heavy corrosion and tarnish, even in the most hard-to-reach cracks and crevices. Additionally, AxxaClean™ 3048 effectively cleans ferrous and yellow metals of rust and tarnish, and with a pH of around 1, it minimizes disposal concerns. Furthermore, AxxaClean™ 3048 is available in two formulas: immersion and a brush-on gel.

After cleaning and drying, items are ready for immediate painting or welding. Additionally, to maximize the effectiveness of AxxaClean™ 3048 Industrial Rust Remover, we recommend rinsing cleaned items with a 5% solution of ZERUST® AxxaVis™ HST-10 and drying thoroughly with filtered compressed air. Furthermore, you may further protect your metals from future corrosion with our ZERUST® VCI films and VCI papers. Moreover, for metals that are prone to corrosion, such as cast iron, use a ZERUST® RP such as Axxanol™ or Axxatec™. Lastly, despite its potency against rust, AxxaClean™ 3048 remains generally safe for use on paint, gaskets, rubber, and plastics. Nonetheless, we advise testing the product before full application to ensure compatibility. Use ZERUST® AxxaClean™ 2048 if a less acidic product is needed.
