A global offshore fabrication facility located close to the Gulf of Mexico needed to protect their pipe section inventory during the Oil and Gas downturn. This facility was accustomed to experiencing high levels of corrosion on their inventory. They were in need of an easy-to-use solution that allowed for minimal labor during the installation and removal process, while avoiding the deterioration of their expensive assets. They contacted ZERUST® as they were referred by another major pipe fabricator that used ZERUST® ICT® VCI Pipe Strips without any corrosion incidents for many years.
When their customer kept complaining about the amount of time and difficulty required with the removal of the Cosmoline’s waxy coating, the manufacture reached out to ZERUST® for a VCI solution.
A local ZERUST® representative visited the customer’s facility to analyze the corrosion issue they were experiencing and to verify that the Pipe Strips offered the best solution for their needs. After visiting the facility and analyzing the corrosion issue, it was determined that ZERUST® ICT® VCI Pipe Strips would provide the protection needed, while also being an economical, easy-to-use, and effective solution.

Tube Strip Pro is a flexible solid-core plastic product containing ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) technology. The VCI tube is used to protect bolt thread holes, the interior of hollow car chassis frames, confined electronic spaces (such as inside computers, control boxes, etc.), tubes, pipes, gun barrels, and other enclosed spaces from corrosion or as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
Vapor Capsules are portable VCI emitter diffusers containing proven ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitors (VCI). They protect metals in hard-to-reach areas of control panels, electrical cabinets, or other enclosed spaces from corrosion, even when they are in operation. Additionally, use these VCI emitter diffusers as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
