In addition to traditional VCI film and other packaging products, ZERUST® offers the ICT® 800 Emitter Series. VCI Emitters (also known as VCI diffusers) provide targeted corrosion protection in hard-to-reach enclosed spaces. They can be used as added protection to ZERUST® VCI packaging products. VCI Emitters emit powerful ZERUST® corrosion inhibiting molecules into an enclosure that settles on metal surfaces and protects them from corrosion. They are safe for electronics, odorless*, non-toxic*, residue-free, and designed to work in restricted spaces.
ZERUST® VCI Emitters and Diffusers are easy-to-use corrosion-inhibiting products that contain ZERUST® VCI technology. ZERUST® VCI Emitters and Diffusers emit potent corrosion-inhibiting molecules that settle on metal surfaces and protect them from corrosion in restricted spaces. Use VCI Emitters and Diffusers to provide corrosion protection in almost any enclosure or as a supplement to other ZERUST® packaging products for added protection.
Vapor Capsules are portable VCI emitter diffusers containing proven ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitors (VCI). They protect metals in hard-to-reach areas of control panels, electrical cabinets, or other enclosed spaces from corrosion, even when they are in operation. Additionally, use these VCI emitter diffusers as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
ActivDri™ FAD12-1 Desiccant VCI Capsule protects metals in hard-to-reach areas of enclosed spaces by utilizing Vapor Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs) to prevent corrosion and a silica-gel desiccant to combat humidity that affects metals and electronics in corrosive environments such as salty air or power plants.
ActivDri™ PWA Packets are patent-pending, economical, effective, and easy-to-use dual-action, moisture control Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) packets that protect against environmental contaminants and humidity that aggressively corrode metal parts, components, electronics, and electrical components/equipment
ActivPak® is a versatile and powerful fast-acting VCI sachet designed to address flash rust and corrosion concerns in demanding scenarios, including overseas shipping and polluted factory environments.
ActivPak®(LS) Flash Corrosion VCI Emitters offer fast-acting corrosion protection in challenging conditions, such as factories, marine environments, waste treatment facilities, and power plants.
Z-PAK® is an economical, effective, and easy-to-use vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) diffuser packet that can be used alone or, more typically, with other ZERUST® packaging products to provide robust temporary corrosion protection for ferrous metals during shipment, storage, or work-in-progress.
ZAK-M22 Vapor Capsules are portable VCI capsules containing proven ZERUST® VCI technology, used to protect metals in hard-to-reach areas of control panels, electrical cabinets, or any other enclosed spaces from corrosion. Each capsule has a QR code printed on the label to facilitate scheduling its replacement schedule.
ICT® Tube Strip is a flexible hollow plastic VCI emitter tubing product containing ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor technology. They are used to protect narrow tubes, pipes, and other enclosed spaces from corrosion or as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
Tube Strip Pro is a flexible solid-core plastic product containing ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) technology. The VCI tube is used to protect bolt thread holes, the interior of hollow car chassis frames, confined electronic spaces (such as inside computers, control boxes, etc.), tubes, pipes, gun barrels, and other enclosed spaces from corrosion or as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
ICT® Open Cell VCI Foam Emitter Pads are a convenient way to provide added corrosion protection in packaging or an effective way to improve protection in demanding environments and on lightly contaminated parts.
ICT® Plastabs® are thin, light, rigid polyethylene VCI emitter plastic tabs that are made with ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibiting (VCI) technology. Their small, thin shape makes Plastabs® perfect for protecting critical surfaces within narrow or hard-to-reach areas of electronics or parts of equipment or as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
Cor Tab® are compressed drop-in VCI tablets that provide superior corrosion protection for metal surfaces and metal items in small or hard-to-reach areas of enclosures, such as electronic instruments, computer parts, small metal parts, inside tool chests, and more.
ActivCapsule™ FAC1-1(S) is a drop-in capsule containing proven ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) technology used as a flash-corrosion prevention product to protect metals from corrosion in hard-to-reach areas in almost any enclosure or as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection.
ZERUST® ActivPowder™ Series includes Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) powders designed to protect metal surfaces in large voids from corrosion. These products offer VCI protection, combined with a new self-fogging Flash Corrosion Inhibitor (FCI™) technology that protects metals in enclosed spaces, even in hard-to-reach spaces of structural voids, tubing, and cavities. This combination diffuses rapidly to protect against flash rust and provides long-term corrosion protection with its progressive vapor-transported corrosion inhibitor action.
ActivPowder™-10F is a powerful Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) powder designed to protect ferrous metal surfaces in large voids from corrosion. It combines VCI with a Flash Corrosion Inhibitor (FCI™) to prevent flash rust and provide long-term corrosion protection.
ActivPowder™(LS)-10F is a Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) powder designed to protect ferrous metal surfaces in large voids from corrosion. It combines VCI with a Flash Corrosion Inhibitor (FCI™) to prevent flash rust and provide long-term corrosion protection.
A VCI protective package design benefits from the addition of VCI emitters in these situations:
One way to determine if additional VCI protection is needed is by asking the question, “Does the VCI packaging or emitter have line-of-site?” Meaning, can the metal surface be “seen” by the VCI? If not, additional VCI could be needed to effectively reach the surface. Although VCI is a vapor and will travel and fill the void spaces in an enclosure, it can be difficult for the chemistry to travel a long distance and effectively protect divided areas.
