Product Description

Product Description

The VCI sachets’ robust formula offers protection against acid gases and contaminants, making ActivPak® suitable for safeguarding metals during operation, storage, and aggressive manufacturing and shipping conditions. Furthermore, they are quick and easy to install. At first, simply remove the ActivPak® VCI sachet from the packaging, place it in the desired location, and tightly seal the enclosure or packaging to trap the vapors inside.

ActivPak® VCI sachets feature cutting-edge Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor Technology (VCI), Volatile Flash Corrosion Inhibitor (FCI™) that rapidly shields ferrous and aluminum metals for up to 2 years in a sealed enclosure. Moreover, this technology effectively combats flash rust and long-term corrosion through progressive VCI chemistry that settles onto exposed metal surfaces inside the packaging or enclosure. Once removed from the packaging or enclosure, the VCI will dissipate from the metal surfaces, allowing immediate painting, welding, or further processing. It is important to note that ActivPak® VCI sachets should be used in accordance with the recommended guidelines. Prior to implementation, it is advisable to conduct a test.

Note

We have recently changed the inner brown color sachet material for ZERUST® ActivPak® due to material availability. The new sachet material is white and has a slightly different feel. However, the change in the inner sachet material will NOT affect the products’ performance, functionality, or delivery lead times. Furthermore, this is purely a cosmetic change. All product packaging, part numbers, formulations, SDS, and sizes remain unchanged. Lastly, as we transition into the new sachet material in October 2023, you may be receiving mixed lots (but not mixed in the same box) of products containing both brown and white sachets until the current product inventory depletes.
