A major equipment supplier to the mining industry had a sharp increase in demand for their large-scale rock crushing components. They needed to be able to ramp up production and store them on-site for up to two years. They no longer had sufficient inside storage for the additional inventory and needed an outdoor corrosion prevention system, allowing them to store the equipment outside exposed to the elements.
The company implemented ZERUST® ICT®510-OPS VCI Shrink Film as it provides outdoor corrosion protection for a minimum of three years and can withstand UV rays during that time. In addition to the VCI Film solution, ZERUST® also recommended that they apply a sprayable corrosion prevention coating (Axxanol™ Spray-G) as additional outdoor storage protection in case of any accidental rips or holes in the preservation film over time.

Axxanol™ Spray-G is a sprayable rust preventative grease that provides the protection of a grease in the convenience of a sprayable form. It’s designed to protect metal parts, equipment, and assemblies during long-term indoor and outdoor storage and challenging overseas shipping applications where a removable coating is essential.
ICT®510-OPS VCI Shrink Film is an 8-mil, high-strength shrink film integrated with ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) technology and UV stabilizers, designed specifically for the long-term outdoor preservation of large assets.
Axxanol™ Z-Maxx Anti-Corrosion Grease Series consists of two products, Axxanol™ Z-Maxx and Z-Maxx LV. Z-Maxx is a thick NLGI 2 grease and is also offered as a lower viscosity (LV) NLGI 0 grease that is designed for spreadability and light lubrication properties.
AxxaCoat™ 90B HFS is a sprayable high-flash outdoor rust preventative coating designed to protect metal parts and assemblies during long-term indoor and outdoor storage and challenging overseas shipping applications.
